BCG – Wire driven absolute encoder - 3m max measuring range
Wire driven absolute encoders are cost effective, accurate measuring systems for simple linear positioning applications.
A wire drive mechanism fitted with a spring return ensures that the wire remains under tension at all times. A rotary encoder is fitted to the wire drive mechanism to record the position of the wire and provide the real time position information of the carriage or platform that the wire is connected to.
These encoders can be taught via push buttons to scale the analogue output for full scale over the distance required for your application.
