Shining a Light on Safety: Patlite Signal Beacons are a Must-Have in Your Workplace
Do you ever wish that you had a way to grab someone's attention in an instant, without having to shout or wave your arms wildly? Patlite signal beacons are here to save the day! These colourful and attention-grabbing beacons are like the superheroes of the signalling world, and LC Automation can get them to you!
With their bright LED lights and a range of colours and flash patterns to choose from, they're the perfect way to signal danger, communicate necessary information, or just add a splash of colour to your workplace. So why settle for boring old signs or plain alarms, when you can have a trusty Patlite signal beacon?

Patlite signal beacons are a type of visual signalling device used in various industrial and commercial applications. They are designed to emit bright, attention-grabbing signals to alert workers, operators, and passersby of potential hazards, critical events or simply a normal operation status.
The signal beacons are built of an LED, a lens or cover, and a housing. The LED produces bright, colourful light that can be seen by your employees from a distance, even in bright daylight. The lens or cover of the beacon is often designed to enhance the light output, such as by focusing the light in a particular direction (at whoever needs to be alerted!) or in a desired light pattern.
I Can See a Rainbow...
Patlite signal beacons are available in a range of colours; red, amber, green, cyan, blue, purple, white and multicoloured. Each colour is programmed to appear during certain events, indicating a different type of signal to your employees. For example, a red beacon might indicate a warning or danger, while a purple beacon may indicate the machine is working, but is at capacity. Patlite signal beacons may also be equipped with additional features, such as sound modules, flash patterns, or alarms, to make 100% sure your operation is informed. But, if this sounds (and looks) a bit too much for your application, you can of course install a simple 2 colour beacon, without any special effects!
Beacon or Tower?
These beacons have many of the same benefits to their Signal Towers sibling such as improved safety, easy and universal communication, customisation, durability and easy installation, but they also have a different side to them...
- Size: Patlite signal beacons are generally smaller than signal towers, which makes them easier to install in tight spaces or on equipment where space is limited.
- Flexibility: Patlite signal beacons can be used in a variety of applications and settings, including indoor and outdoor environments, and are available in a range of colours and flash patterns. Signal towers, on the other hand, are typically designed for use in specific applications, such as in manufacturing or process control.
- Cost: Patlite signal beacons are generally less expensive than signal towers, which makes them a more cost-effective option for applications where a smaller signal is sufficient.
- Maintenance: Patlite signal beacons typically require less maintenance than signal towers, as they have fewer moving parts and are less prone to wear and tear.
Although signal towers may be a better option for your applications where a larger, more complex signalling device is required, Patlite signal beacons are a versatile and cost-effective solution for visual signalling in industrial and commercial settings, particularly in applications where space is limited or a smaller signal is sufficient. But don't be fooled, their lights are just as bright, just as bold and just as eye-catching - good things definitely come in small packages!
If you're not considering injecting some life into your factory floor with Patlite beacons now, then you're missing out! These little devices are the way forward for communication.
