Approach Your Machinery Safety From a New Direction...

Compact and flexible: Schmersal's new safety switch with a rotatable actuator head is ideal for monitoring the guard position of your hinged or sliding guards.

Schmersal rotating actuator head

The new AZ range are some of the most flexible safety switches we have seen! With their rotating head, they can be fitted in a variety of different orientations, meaning you only need one switch for a wide range of hinged or sliding guard applications.

That makes life easy for machine designers, and engineers alike, and reduces the number of spare parts you have to keep in stock. It's a gamechanger for machine builders and end users.

Why Does a Rotating Head Matter?

This rotation allows the head to be approached from the side in four different directions, as well as from above! With this versatile approach position and the ability to combine with different actuators, the AZ Series offers maximum installation flexibility and a range of universal applications for you.

A safety switch with a rotatable actuator head provides you with a versatile and adaptable solution for a wide range of applications, providing improved safety and ease of integration.

Your Options...

Similar to Schmersal's other switches (PS 215/216 and PS 315/316), these switches are available in plastic or metal housings - depending on your application - in identical compact designs, making them more than simple to integrate into your surrounding construction.

As well as standard M20 cable entry and connection terminals, 4 or 8-pin M12 connectors are also available. The connection terminals on the switch elements, which are rotated by 45°, also make wiring quick and easy. Basically, whatever suits you best, Schmersal can offer!

Features:

  • Die-Cast Zinc Actuator Head
  • 90° Rotation
  • Suitable for Both Right and Left Designs
  • EN50047 and EN50041 Standards Compliant
  • Latching Force 12 N or 30 N
  • Two or Three Switching Contacts
