The Schmersal AZM40 is the smallest electronic solenoid interlock in the world and, similar to a tiny ant, is extremely strong in spite of its size.
Schmersal have introduced their new, space-saving RFID-based solenoid interlock as the smallest electronic solenoid interlock in the world with dimensions of just 119.5 x 40 x 20mm. Ideal for smaller safety doors and flaps, the interlock is an efficient safety solution where space availability is limited.

Extremely Flexible and Very Energy Efficient
The 180° angular flexibility of the actuator ensures maximum installation flexibility. Thanks to this angle flexibility, the actuator can approach continuously so that the interlock can also be used on flaps that do not close at a 90 degree angle or that open upwards at a 45 degree angle. This ensures that the interlock can be easily installed even in confined and difficult to access locations - a win-win!
Pretty Strong and Amazingly Reliable
The AMZ40 has a high clamping force of 2000 Newtons. In addition, the interlock is manipulation-safe and, thanks to integrated RFID technology, the coding level is high in accordance with ISO 14119.

There's More, Illuminated Handles!
Designed and optimised for the AMZ40, Schmersal also provide some nifty illuminated door handles at IP67. Choose from seven colours;
- White
- Yellow
- Green
- Light blue
- Blue
- Violet
- Red
The innovative DHS door handle system combines the functions of a robust door handle with the signalling of various machine statuses via large-scale illumination of the handle. The RGB technology used makes it possible to illuminate the handle in 7 different colours.
The colours can be individually controlled by you so that, for example, the respective machine status can be seen directly on the handle. And it doesn't stop there - a pushbutton is also available, that too can be individually adapted to your requirements with coloured pushbutton cover caps. The pushbutton's purpose? Well, for example, it can act as a reset button or a request to open the safety guard!
