Its unique anti-latching design significantly reduces any risk of accidentally closing the gate. In the unlikely event someone does get locked in the hazardous area, the single action mechanism makes it easy to open the guard from the inside - so IDEM has got your back. A straightforward push, coupled with a press of the MLZ rear escape button, swiftly releases the latch mechanism, making sure you can safely exit.
What Makes It Great for Food & Bev?
You may already know the IDEM MLZ Hygienic RFID Guard Locking Switch is a 30mm-wide stainless steel safety interlock switch with three entry actuation points (but if you want to know more check out this article  ). But, did we mention that the switches are not only tested to IP67, but IP69K too? They are suitable for SIP and CIP cleaning, ideal for strict wash-down environments, particularly food and beverage. Exactly what your operation is looking for!
There are many options available to make your MLZ safety switch as hygienic as possible, including a silicone rubber gasket to prevent any liquid from getting behind the switch, reducing contamination and improving hygiene qualities.
